atherine Scholz and Michael Logue perform Catherine's song Just Not Like Her at the 2008 Grassies. I shot the video, but Catherine had someone who actually knew what they were doing edit and process it into something beautiful.

etaphors are important to songwriting. By using something familiar metaphorically, you can create a vivid mental image in fewer words.
And if you do it in a bouncy perky pop tune, so much the better.
I've been listening to Leftovers by Johnny Flynn and the Sussex Wit over and over the past few days. It seems to be about food, but it's probably about life. The video is somewhere between Bob Dylan and Salvador Dali.
I'm consciously avoiding angry morose edgy rock these days. I'd rather be happy.

Rush bought the Little One a copy of 'Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel' which I haven't read for years. It's not music, but it fits the title.
